EVDO…awesome!

I just got my Verizon EVDO line activated today and I now see what the buzz is all about.  With a 2 bar connection in my office I can get 152 kbps upstream (not all that good) and 2100 kbps downstream (that’s great).  I had one of the CDMA cards from Sprint a couple of years ago and did use it in emergency situations, but the EVDO card is fast enough that I can definitely see using full time.  I’ve certainly said goodbye to pay-for wifi spots.
This card also creates a new geek project for me.
