Interesting article from one of my favorite pubs out of the UK on manufacturing.  We have been talking about an SOA strategy at UGS for over 5 years.  In some ways it was forced upon us rather than a grand vision because of the needs we had to integrate our own applications.  Now, 5 years later, we are delivering fully enabled SOA products on both .Net and J2EE.  Meanwhile Dassault is just getting around to talking about web services int he past year.  But in typical fashion, they seem to get credit for not only being the first to embrace SOA, but also seeming to have invented it in manufacturing…some things never change.
