Home from the hospital

Well after 5 long days and 4 longer nights my daughter came home from the hospital today. She finallymade it through the night without having to be on oxygen, so the docs decided she could come home. She was happy to get out of there and my wife and I were even happier to get her home. Hanging out in the hospital is no fun…too many sick people. We’ll be on eggshells for the next few days, listening for every cough and wheeze. The most frustating thing for me while she was there was I never heard any real explanation for why what happened actually happened. The logical side of me has a hard time understanding how someone that is out running and playing soccer on Saturday, wrestling in the basement on Sunday and has no history of astma can have a lung partially collapse in the middle of the night. Another example of doctors just “practicing”.
