What will drive the tipping point for the 3D web

Interesting post from Terra Nova about the key factors in what will drive massive adoption of the 3D experience on the web. It’s amazing to me (perhaps it shouldn’t be) how similar it is to the discussions in the 3D CAD world. First we need interoperability, then we need accessible tools, then we need a better way to manage all this data. A pretty good list to which I would add just one thing: we need search.
